 Nike Air VaporMax Plus

Air Max Plus Origins Nike's revolutionary Air-Sole unit made its way into Nike footwear in 1978. In 1987, the Nike Air Max 1 debuted with visible air in its heel, allowing fans more than just the feel of Air-Sole comfort—suddenly they could see it. The Nike Air Max franchise would go on to own the '90s with a succession of now-iconic releases. In 1998, the Air Max Plus introduced a cushioning system that 'tuned' Air-Sole units to specific parts of the foot. This gave runners a more stable stride, but the shoe's unique look earned it an influence beyond any performance benefit. Its sunset colourways and wavy design lines, inspired by wind-blown beachscapes, garnered a cult-like following of sneakerheads that grew into a cultural phenomenon

nike Air Vapormax FK Moc 2 x Acronym

Collaborative mastermind Errolson Hugh of ACRONYM, known for his highly technical and refined re-imaginations of Nike’s best silhouettes, enters the spotlight again this weekend as his Vapormax Moc 2. With an aesthetic inspired by spaghetti westerns and urban settings, Hugh has left the Vapormax Moc 2’s original design relatively unchanged (unlike his previous Air Force 1 and Presto collaborations) and adorned the shoe’s Flyknit upper with a jagged pattern inspired by the letter A. A bright volt green elastic sleeve ensures lockdown and provides a pop of color, and the heel features Acronym detailing as well. The normally crystal-clear Vapormax unit is whited out except for the front two pods, providing a fascinating contrast that goes well with the futuristic look of the sneaker. Look for the ACRONYM x Nike Vapormax Moc 2 to drop at the retailers listed below this weekend.
